Groom smashes the ENTIRE top tier of wedding cake in his wife’s face at reception leaving her heartbroken

A WEDDING guest has slammed an “a**hole” groom who smashed the entire top tier of his wedding cake in his new wife’s face.

Taking to the Facebook group That’s It I’m Wedding Shaming, the anonymous guest shared a picture of the incident, recounting the disastrous wedding – which eventually lead to divorce.

While the tradition of “cake smashing” is commonplace at receptions – particularly in the US – brides and grooms will normally stick to one slice rather than an entire tier.

According to the guest, the wedding had already gotten off on the wrong foot, after rumours of cheating emerged before the nuptials.

Writing in the group, they explained: “The groom is an absolute garbage person, everyone knew he was cheating but she didn’t listen to any pf us and claimed ‘he was the love of her life and would never leave him.’

So her parents paid for the entire wedding. Groom got HAMMERED before they even said I do.

“He was a disrespectful a**hole the entire wedding, and when his father and the bride’s father confronted him to get his act together, he flipped out on them and said ‘she’s my wife now, I can do whatever the f*** I want.’”

They then explained how the cake smashing tradition had got out of hand, leaving the mother-of-the-bride in tears.

The guest continued: “He took the ENTIRE TOP TIER of the cake and SMASHED it on her face. She tried to play it off but you could tell she was really upset.

“Her dress was ruined, the mother-of-the-bride started sobbing and everyone basically left after that.

“It was the hottest mess I’ve ever seen, it was a shame because it was a beautiful wedding in regards to venue, decorations, music, food, etc. HE was the only problem.”

According to the guest, the marriage lasted just over a year, after which the bride eventually left him.

They added: “We all begged her to leave him. It wasn’t until she found out he had gotten another girl pregnant that she left him.

“She is now very happy in a new relationship. She’s a wonderful person who made a disastrously bad relationship choice. And this picture will live infamy forever.”

Fellow group members were left appalled at the groom’s behaviour, sharing their outrage in the comments.

“I wanna hug her, what a complete w*****” said one.

While another added: “Omg I’ve never been so mad at someone I didn’t now. He is the biggest jerk I’ve ever seen in my life.”

A third wrote: “The level of disrespect it would take to do that to someone you supposedly love just reinforces the wives tale that cake smashing means the marriage won’t last.”

The Facebook group is the largest of the wedding shaming variety boasting over 54,000 members worldwide.
