RIP UP THE RULE BOOK

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will ‘opt for a low-key wedding’ and might even ‘get married in the back garden’, claims royal insider

A ROYAL wedding is often expected to be a rather lavish affair, but it seems Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi aren't interested in a "showy" celebration.

According to a friend, the pair are looking for a "low-key" venue to host their wedding and have reportedly considered "a marquee in Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's back garden".

According to the , Beatrice and Edoardo aren't looking to tie the knot at Windsor Castle - unlike sister, Princess Eugenie - who married Jack Brooksbank at St George's Chapel last October.

The Mail report that one of Beatrice's friends has said the couple want to "do things differently" with the pair hoping for a smaller venue to keep things casual.

"The wedding will not be in Italy and from what they are saying it won’t be in St George’s Chapel, Windsor, either," said the pal.

"There have been three big Royal weddings there in the past year or so and I’m not sure that’s what Bea wants.

"Edo has a child, there’s the situation with his ex, and Beatrice might just feel something more low-key might be more fitting."

Last week, it was reported that Beatrice is planning on inviting Edoardo's ex-girlfriend to their wedding and wants their son to be the groom's best man, a friend claimed.

Before his royal romance, Edo was previously engaged to his ex-girlfriend Dara Haung, 37, and the couple share two-year-old son Wolfie.

As the couple prepare for their wedding next year, a close friend told the  that Dara and Beatrice are on friendly terms and that the Princess wants Wolfie to play a big part in her special day.

After hearing her ex-boyfriend of three years was engaged, Dara released this short statement: "I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families.”

Beatrice, 31, announced her engagement to multi-millionaire property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 36, after a whirlwind 11-month romance.

Edo popped the question during a holiday to Italy and, despite claims that they would have preferred to marry there, royal experts have insisted that they will wed in England because The Queen "won't fly to Europe".

Royal editor Ingrid Seward told : “I think in her heart Beatrice would like to be married in Italy where Edo's from, but there's no way the Queen will fly to Europe for the wedding so it will have to be in England.”
