Our-four step guide to achieve natural contouring for a more wearable look
THOUGHT contouring was just for beauty buffs and make-up wizards?
This season is all about achieving a more wearable look, and our four-step guide is all you need.
1. Brush
After applying foundation and concealer, use a light contour cream, such as , sweeping it in a “C” motion starting from the apples of your cheeks then up towards your temples.
We suggest applying it with a dense brush, such as in very gentle strokes for light coverage. To keep your look soft and natural, ignore traditional contouring rules and avoid applying the cream to your jawline and nose.
2. Blend
Your contour might seem chunky now, but it’s about to look better, because it’s time to blend, blend, blend! Take a buffing brush – we love – and gently work the colour into your skin in small, circular motions.
Be careful not to apply too much pressure so you don’t remove product.
Move in an outwards direction towards the hairline to achieve the most natural-looking results. Buff until the colour blends seamlessly into your skin tone.
3. Glow
Now that you’ve finished sculpting, it’s time to add some dimension to the look. Swipe a powder-based highlighter across the high points of your face to add a subtle glow and make the contour colour stand out.
Use , to dust a light rose-gold-toned highlighter, such as on to cheekbones and under brow bones. Then add a light dusting to your Cupid’s bow to make your pout pop.

4. Blush
Now, tie the elements together with a subtle flush of pink to complete the look. Using a fluffy tool – try – swirl a rose-toned powder blush, such as , on to the apples of your cheeks.
Again, try not to apply too much pressure, as it may cause the colour to appear blocky and unnatural.
Instead, layer in sweeping motions.
