A BRIDE who complained about the “petty” response she received to her wedding invitation was left reeling after the same guest died just days later.

Amy Domagala, 36, from Chicago took to the Facebook group, where she shared a photo of the ‘RSVP’ she received from a guest named Arlene.

The Milwaukee resident had responded only to complain about picking up the postage costs after the bride’s stamps hadn’t covered the cost of the weight of a magnet included inside.

The hand-written note read: “Kyle and Amy! What kind of invitation is this where I had to pay postage due to get your mail! The magnet was cracked as well. Arlene.”

As well as sharing a snap of the letter, Amy went on to slam Arlene as “petty.”

Posting in the group she said: “What the f*** lady. First of all, clearly that was not our intention. I put additional postage on it. People in Florida, Washington, Texas have gotten it with no additional postage needed.

“Second of all you wasted an additional 55 cent to send that letter to us? Next time refuse the letter if you’re a** is going to b**** about $3.

“So I am going to be petty as hell and send her a nasty a** letter back with a check in it for $3.51 to cover her postage, and hopefully she doesn't come to the wedding.”

And it tragically transpired that Arlene would definitely not be joining Amy and groom Kyle on their big day as she died just days after the letter was received.

Updating her post, Amy wrote: “So I submitted this on September 22 (approved 30th) as of September 27th SHE DIED!!!!! HOW CRAZY IS THAT!!!!!”

And fellow group members were equally baffled by the outcome.

AMY'S POST IN FULL

So we mailed our Save the Dates the other day. I went to the post office to verify the postage.

“The invite was under an ounce but since it was slightly thicker being a magnet they said use two ounce stamps which are 70 cents so I did.

People have been getting them all over, California, Arizona, Florida, Georgia with no issues. We live outside of Chicago.

So yesterday my fiancé and I received a letter in the mail from a guest, one of FMILs friends that we had to invite.

A woman his mom has literally known her entire life, like 65 years, who lives in Milwaukee, about 2 hours from us.

“I'm literally shocked at the update” wrote one, while another commented, “OMG what a turn of events.”
