Woman hailed a ‘hero’ after dressing up as a bush to discreetly capture sister’s wedding proposal
A WOMAN has been labelled a “hero” after dressing up as a bush to sneakily capture her sister’s wedding proposal.
Self-sacrificing Therese Merkel from Wisconsin, US, decided to go the extra mile when it came to taking photos of her sister Rachel getting engaged.
Going above and beyond the call of duty, Therese committed to the task by dressing up as a bush to go undercover.
In her creative disguise, the creative sister managed to get close enough to the couple to get some poignant shots undetected.
Therese has now been praised online after sharing a photo of her incredible bush costume, which consisted of string, straws and leaves.
She also shared the shot of the big moment itself, which shows Rachel covering her mouth in disbelief as boyfriend Andrew pops the question.
In the tweet, Therese wrote: “Sister got engaged this weekend and I dressed as a bush in the wilderness to watch/capture the moment.
“We are one year apart…why are our lives so different?”
The funny shot has racked up more than 170,000 likes and prompted numerous people to joke they would do the same.
One set of friends responded to the photo saying: “Let’s take notes.”
Meanwhile, another person tagged their friend saying: “I expect you to be a bush for me.”
