Caprice on her fear of flying, her love for partner Ty and the benefits of practising meditation
CAPRICE Bourret, 47, is a US-born model, reality star and entrepreneur.
She reveals all about why she's now afraid of flying, how her mother taught her glamour and why her first kissed never called her again.
What’s your greatest fear?
Since having my boys Jett and Jax (both six) my greatest fear is flying. I used to love being up in the air, I even loved the turbulence. But now I get anxiety when I
fly.
Which word or phrase do you overuse?
Holy smokes.
Who or what is the love of your life?
Ty [Comfort, 53], my partner.
Who would you invite to a dinner party?
All my besties!
How often do you have sex?
I have a drop-dead gorgeous partner, so two to three times a week.
Who makes you laugh the most?
Definitely my kids.
What makes you angry?
People who don’t take care of the environment or abuse it in any way.
Leave or Remain?
Initially I thought leave, but I didn’t understand the repercussions. Now that I understand the impact economically, I think we should stay.
What is your earliest memory?
Every morning my mom Valerie, now 69, would wake up and open the closet before work, then say to me and my sister: “Girls, what gorgeous thing am I going to wear today?” My mom is so glam and fabulous.
What possession would you rescue from a burning building?
My passport.
Who was your first kiss?
A guy called Steve. We went on a date when I was 16, he went to kiss me and I didn’t know how, so I bit his tongue. He never called me again.
What does being in love feel like?
I love being in love and being loved back. Both ways I feel totally complete. I feel strong, I feel happy.
What is your biggest regret?
About half the guys I’ve dated.
What’s the secret to a great party?
Give everyone some tequila and the party becomes super-fabulous.
What song would you have played at your funeral?
I’d want a happy song so that people remember all the great times.
What’s the most pain you’ve experienced?
Childbirth. That is something else.
How do you relax?
I meditate. It’s taken me a few years to be able to get into that state of stillness, but when I do I have clarity. I’m much calmer and I deal with stressful situations better.
Who would you like to apologise to?
I’d like to apologise to Ty now. He’s tried to call me four times and I know he wants the car, but I had to do this interview. I’ve left him with the kids and all their friends.
What do you think happens when we die?
I think we come back as something else, and that we pick what that is dependent on what we did in our previous lives.
Which celeb would you most love to kiss?
Chris Hemsworth.
What are your best and worst qualities?
My worst is overthinking everything. My best is being a people person. I love to make people feel comfortable and happy.
