Strictly Come Dancing 2024 LIVE: Beetlejuice-inspired Halloween show saw all eyes on Wynne Evans once more
STRICTLY Come Dancing professionals are set to perform a Beetlejuice-inspired routine for the 20th-anniversary series' Halloween week.
The remaining 11 couples once again graced the ballroom floor, clad in a variety of eerie and Halloween inspired costumes.
During Sunday’s results show, the dancers will present a routine choreographed by Matt Flint, featuring Carlos Gu dressed as the iconic lead character from Tim Burton’s 1988 horror-comedy film and its sequel, which hit cinemas last month.
Singer Wynne Evans has come under fire again for allegedly telling a "crude" joke to one of the show's make-up artists.
He made a grand entrance to the ballroom dressed as the devil as his partner Katya Jones wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
But once the dancing started, he once again vanished from screens as viewers spotted his absence during some of the Claudatorium segments.

Score rage
Nick Knowles made his comeback to the BBC dance competition last night – but some said he was given sympathy marks upon his return.
The DIY SOS star returned to the dancing competition tonight after a touch and go week and only had a few days to practise.
Those watching at home weren’t too impressed with the 62-year-old and took to social media to complain about it.
One person remarked: “So Craig isn’t taking Nick’s lack of swivel this week as he hurt his knee, yet every week he goes in on Chris for “fingers” and lack of facial expressions? Is this BBC employee love-in ever going to STOP?”
A second said: “Not here for Nick basically get sympathy votes for a few weeks… defo amongst the worst few.”
Pete Wicks and Jowitza Przystał's rumours heat up
Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas made reference to an intense look she spotted between Pete Wicks and Jowitza Przystał last night during their quickstep routine.
"I love the smouldering look that you had between the two of you," the head judge quipped.
Her words ignited cheers from the crowd as the pair looked visibly ecstatic.
It's not the first time rumours about the dance duo have circulated.
The 36-year-old former TOWIE star and his 30-year-old professional dance partner have appeared very close with one another in recent weeks with fans increasingly enthralled by their on-screen chemistry.
Wynne Evans and Katya Jones clear the air
Strictly Come Dancing fans were taken aback when they saw Katya Jones push her partner Wynne Evans' hand off her waist, seemingly objecting to his positioning during the live show.
However, the duo was quick to clarify the situation, explaining it was all in good fun.
"We just wanted to say we were messing around," said Jones, alongside Evans, in a video she shared on Instagram. "We wanted to say sorry. It was a silly joke."
Fans left cringing after awkward "no-five"
Katya Jones was seen ignoring a high-five attempt from her Strictly Come Dancing partner, Wynne Evans, during the live BBC broadcast.
One viewer called the moment "awkward" after the 52-year-old opera singer was left hanging while the cast celebrated Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin's Samba.
Sharp-eyed fans also noticed Katya brushing Wynne’s hand off her waist shortly after.
Earlier, Sam had exchanged a high-five with Wynne, but when he tried the same with Katya, he was left palm raised in the air.
Strictly fans shocked by Ted Lasso star’s appearance in audience
Strictly Come Dancing viewers were surprised to spot a familiar face in the audience cheering for Sarah Hadland.
Actor James Lance, best known for playing Ted Crimm in Ted Lasso, was seen smiling as Hadland danced to Billie Eilish's Birds of a Feather.
On social media, one fan wrote: "When you’re watching Strictly and see that a flash of the glorious hair and think I’m sure that’s James Lance in the audience. Then dad turns and says “that’s that reporter out of Ted Lasso".
Another shared: "Oh its Trent Crimm, The Independent in the front row."
"NOT A DRILL: TRENT CRIMM IS IN THE AUDIENCE!" posted another.
Giovanni's next plans
Giovanni Pernice has announced his major new UK gig following the results of the Strictly investigation.
The professional dancer, who has returned to his home country of Italy, was recently cleared of most of the allegations of abuse against him.
Now, Giovanni is stepping back into the spotlight with an exciting new role, hosting dance workshops across the country.
He'll be teaching fans how to waltz and tango on his upcoming tour.
Nick Knowles in awkward Strictly triangle
Nick Knowles has found himself caught in a tense situation between his fiancée Katie Dadzie and his Strictly partner Luba Mushtuk.
Luba reportedly raised concerns backstage that Katie had been showing up at the rehearsal studio too often.
A source said Luba felt she “could not teach with Katie’s eyes on her” when she and DIY SOS TV host Nick, 62, were in close holds during rehearsals.
Following discussions, the presenter’s girlfriend has now made fewer visits to the studios during training hours.
Fans unhappy with Tess
Strictly Come Dancing viewers have slammed Tess Daly for a 'cruel' moment after the host made an awkward blunder.
After Dr Punam Krishan's Jive with Gorka Marquez, veteran judge Craig Revel Horwood dished out trademark harsh critiques.
However, it was presenter Tess Daly whom fans were left unhappy with.
Craig told Dr Punam: "I thought it was really sloppy, messy, full of mistakes.
"Not your night, I'm afraid."
Meanwhile, presenter Tess hadn't heard the judge's final comment.
The host asked Craig to repeat it - only to say she wished she hadn't upon hearing the remark.
Fans watching at home slammed the moment, as some branded it "cruel."
Others questioned why Tess asked for Craig's comment to be repeated.

What is the Strictly curse?
The "curse" is a phenomenon that hits celebrities and their dance partners during their time on Strictly Come Dancing.
Due to the harsh schedules, sexy dance moves and close quarters with their partners, their off-screen romances sometimes suffer as a result.
Strictly became regarded as "cursed" after a series of very public break-ups from show participants - and ever since, more and more fan favourites have succumbed.
Over the course of 18 series of the BBC favourite, nearly a dozen couples have split up thanks to their time on the show.

Firing back
Strictly professional Johannes Radebe has revealed some tension with one of the four judges on the BBC show.
Johannes and Montell Douglas' performance to to Nobody Gets Me by SZA earned them 33, putting them high up the score leaderboard.
After the pair headed up to discuss their performance with Claudia Winkleman, Johannes revealed his mission in training his celebrity partner had been to stop Anton du Beke from standing up and 'demoing' to them.
Claudia pointed out: "What I love Jojo is your main aim - and he doesn't know this - was not to get a demonstration from Anton."
He joked: "I said this to Montel at the beginning of the week that the last thing I want to see is Anton standing up and reminding us of how to go into hold for the thousandth time."

Tango tension
Strictly Come Dancing fans were left shocked this evening as they spotted Katya Jones push her partner Wynne Evans’ off her.
The pair were standing with the rest of the group when the singer, 52, put his arm around the 35-year-old’s waist and she appeared to object to his positioning.
The toe-curling moment caught on live TV sparked speculation amongst fans, who were concerned about her unusual reaction.
One person wrote: “Anyone else see Katya push wynne's hand away.”
A second said: “Katya moving Wynne’s hand away then….”

Risky move
Strictly fans are convinced that Sarah Hadland is at risk of being eliminated next after being placed in the "death slot" tonight.
The actress, 53, danced the Foxtrot with pro partner Vito Coppola during Saturday's fourth live show.
Some fans think Sarah could be the next vulnerable celebrity.
The "death slot" has become known as the second dancing spot on the running order - and least likely to throw up success.
One wrote: "Sarah being put in the death slot is CRIMINAL."
Overmarked?
Strictly fans have slammed the judges scoring as "inconsistent" after Wynne Evans was scored nines on tonight's show.
The Welsh opera singer, 52, danced the Tango to Abba's hit track Money, Money, Money with pro Katya Jones.
Craig and Anton scored Wynne an 8, while Shirley and Motsi gave him a nine, making it his highest score so far.
But some fans have hit out at the judges yet again for "overmarking" another celebrity - with some claiming they have their "favourites".
Could love be in the air for Pete and Jowita?
Strictly Come Dancing fans are holding out hope that Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał will become a couple after their undeniable chemistry was showcased in a recent video.
Just two weeks into the competition, the duo has quickly become fan favorites, with many believing they are “falling in love” as they grow closer.
Last week, judge Shirley Ballas remarked that their chemistry was “too hot to handle,” a sentiment echoed by Motsi Mabuse.
