Everyone in the family is having babies except me and I feel like less of a woman
DEAR DEIDRE: EVERYONE in the family is getting pregnant except me.
I am 28, so is my husband, but we have been together since we were 15. I became pregnant at 17 but we were too frightened to tell anyone and I had a termination.
We stopped using contraception seven years ago. I had a miscarriage last year but nobody in the family even mentioned it.
This year four couples in the family have announced pregnancies. I feel less and less like a woman.
We are happy for the other couples but they haven’t considered our feelings when making their announcements.
We are thinking of moving away to escape the baby talk.
