My friend’s daughter parades around our house in next to nothing
DEAR DEIDRE: MY friend's daughter parades around the house wearing next to nothing whenever we are left alone.
I am a 48-year-old single man and in the process of buying a new flat after getting divorced but it won't be ready for a few weeks. My friend offered me his spare room free of charge.
It is only meant to be for a few weeks so I leapt at the chance.
My friend has a 20-year-old daughter who lives with him.
She is all nice and innocent when they are around, but the second we are alone she walks about the house half-naked in skimpy underwear, pyjamas or sometimes just a towel.
We both work from home all day whereas my friend and his wife go out to work.

Last weekend my friends went away for a mini-break. I went upstairs to get something out of my room. She had deliberately left her bedroom door open.
She was standing there naked, smiling at me. I grabbed my car keys and ran out of the house. There is no denying she is a beautiful girl but I would never go there.
Her parents are going on holiday soon and I will be left with her. I will probably end up sleeping in my car for the two weeks they are away because I am not sure I would be able to resist her.
MORE FROM DEAR DEIDRE
DEIDRE SAYS: Your partner's daughter may be an adult but this is a recipe for trouble.
You need to be firm and nip it in the bud. Make it clear to her that you are not interested. She will soon get the message.
My support pack, Standing Up For Yourself, should help you have this conversation.
Avoid being left alone with her. Find a cafe or library where you can work during the day.
Could another friend put you up temporarily or could you rent an B&B until your flat is ready?
