I might be young but feel my life is over
DEAR DEIDRE: I feel like my life is over at 35. My girlfriend ended our relationship and two weeks later I was involved in a crash on my motorbike.
I’m a man who used to be active and sporty and was very happy with my lot. I’ve got a good job in insurance and I bought my place three years ago.
I’d been with my girlfriend for over a year before she moved in with me. Neither of us had lived with anyone except our families before. She’s 31.
We had a great time at first but soon we started to argue about work and chores. My girlfriend then left me.
My bike crash has left me unable to walk unaided at the moment. I’m back with my parents, feeling like a complete failure.
