My stepbrother raped me when I was a child and keeping it secret is killing me
DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN I was a child my stepbrother raped me and I’ve never told a soul.
My stepfather met Mum when I was six. My stepbrother was 17.
The abuse began when he started babysitting for our parents.
It happened about a dozen times.
I’m now 47 and was researching our family tree with my 51-year-old sister recently.
She mentioned that after my mum and stepfather split up, my stepbrother was arrested and went to prison for raping somebody.
