DEAR DEIDRE: The girl I like never wants to meet me in public. I think it’s because I’m too ugly.
Every time we arrange a date out somewhere, she cancels at the last minute, with a rubbish excuse.
I’m 19 and she is 18. We’ve been seeing each other for a month.
We met online and got on well when we messaged. She has come over a couple of times and we’ve had sex.
I want to take her out, to the cinema or a club.
But every time we’re supposed to go, she tells me she can’t make it.
I know I’m not what girls would call “fit”. I’m short and not buff, and my clothes aren’t cool. I think she’s embarrassed to be seen with me.
