I can’t live my life in peace away from my ex
DEAR DEIDRE: Having finally broken up with my nasty ex, I thought I was free of his abuse.
But he’s still harassing me, and I fear I’ll never be able to live my life in peace.
I’m 42 and he’s 44.
When we first met, two years ago, I thought he was wonderful. He was so thoughtful and loving and complimentary.
Stupidly, I lent him a lot of money - almost two thousand pounds.
I soon realised he was love bombing me. Once he’d moved in, he started to insult me, to put me down and to cheat.

DEIDRE SAYS: You did the right thing by ending the relationship.
Unfortunately, it’s not unusual for abusive men to continue their behaviour after being dumped.
Even using their debts to keep a hold over abused partners.
Block him everywhere. If he continues to harass you, contact the police - it’s a crime.
Keep a record of everything he does for evidence.
My support pack, Abusive Partner, contains details of organisations that can help you.
