I get so depressed and jealous when husband goes away for work
DEAR DEIDRE: I GET jealous of my husband when he goes away.
He recently travelled for two days and is already planning another work jaunt.
People tell me to keep busy when he’s not here, but it’s much easier said than done.
I’m 51 and he’s 53.
I think about what he’s doing while I’m at home doing all the boring jobs.

DEIDRE SAYS: Your friends are right when they say that keeping busy may make you feel better.
It’s never too late to make more of a social life. My support pack Widening Your Social Scene will help you do this.
If you have friends you can talk to, perhaps you could arrange a weekend break with them.
My Jealousy support pack may also help. The roots of envy lie in wanting something that we think we can’t have.
So think about what exactly you feel you are missing.
Is it the travel, more time with your husband?
Then think about how you can move towards achieving your goal.
