My medication is turning my life upside down
DEAR DEIDRE: What woman would want me? I’m overweight and can’t get an erection due to medication I am on.
My tablets aren’t doing me any favours at the moment. I was put on them five years ago because I had a psychotic episode. They helped for a while but then I came off them.
When the pandemic happened I had a breakdown again. I couldn’t bear being holed up in my flat. My doctor put me back on the medication and I felt better.
But my weight has spiralled and I have a diet of fast food. I’ve got very little energy and now I can’t get an erection even when I try by myself. I’m 37 and I feel so miserable.
I’d love a long-lasting relationship but who would want me like this?
Should I come off my medication again?
