I’m struggling with my jealous girlfriend
DEAR DEIDRE: My partner is really jealous – even when I pop to the shops, she thinks I am meeting a girl.
I know she has been hurt and betrayed in the past, but her constant worrying is affecting our relationship.
We are both 18. I can’t go out without being accused of something.
I fear if she continues, I might be pushed to do something wrong.
I need to find a way to help her before it messes things up.

DEIDRE SAYS: When we are let down by a partner, it’s natural to feel insecure.
Reassure your girlfriend you are a different person and perhaps invite her to accompany you until she gains some confidence.
She may need help to deal with her insecurity. I’m sending you my support pack on jealousy, which you can encourage her to read.
You’d be better finishing things than cheating on her.
