DEAR DEIDRE

I am sexting my gorgeous Latin dance partner and losing interest in my husband

DEAR DEIDRE: MY husband has pulled his socks up but it’s not enough to ensure I resist the gorgeous guy I dance with every Thursday.

I started going to Latin ballroom lessons seven years ago because I was miserable doing everything while my husband watched TV.

I’m 46 and my husband is 48. We have been together for 18 years and have two boys aged 14 and 12.

Dancing was my salvation and taking a night out seemed to do wonders for my husband’s attitude. He realised he’d spent years taking me for granted.

But then an absolute Adonis, more than ten years younger than me, joined our lessons and my world turned upside down.

I sensed an immediate attraction but dismissed any thoughts of taking it further because he is so good looking.

I felt ridiculous. After a night of dancing closely with him, he was all I could think about.

Then he suggested we meet for sex. I couldn’t believe my ears but didn’t hesitate to agree.

Things have become heated very quickly and we’ve been sexting constantly.

We have arranged twice to meet but twice I’ve had to postpone.

I know he just wants sex. I’m paranoid about the age gap and how my body looks compared to his, but I desperately want him. He’s 34.

Perversely, it’s made my sex life with my husband better, as I’m turned on thinking of my god.

I lost respect for my husband years ago for the way he treated me and the kids and I haven’t forgiven him.

He was constantly angry and moody and I would have sex with him simply to keep the peace.

He’s better now but I want some fun.

DEIDRE SAYS: You are sambaing your way into fire.

Delete his number before your husband finds out what you are up to.

It will take willpower but going cold turkey is the only way.

You’ve postponed twice because you aren’t really comfortable with your plan to be unfaithful.

Rather than pretend everything is fine in your marriage, talk to your husband about the resentment you carry around.

Counselling, either together or alone (, 020 7380 1975) would help you connect.

My support pack Torn Between Two Men will help you to think this through.
