I can’t catch a break from my overbearing and neurotic mother
DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN I left home, I thought I’d get some peace from my anxious mother, but she calls me day and night.
I can’t even go out to the student union pub without her calling to make sure I’m safe.
My mates take the mickey but it’s no joke. I’m 18 and went to university last September.
Mum is 48 and has always been fragile and neurotic.
One of the reasons I chose a university 200 miles away was so I could get some distance.
I love her, and want her to have peace of mind, but she’s driving me crazy with her calls.
