My husband has gone off me since my foot operation – I want to spice things up
DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE been away from home recovering from a foot operation but I’m worried my husband has gone off me.
I’m a woman of 29 and he’s 33.
He’s a teacher so when I knew I’d be incapacitated and on crutches after my operation, I moved back in with my mother.
She’s been wonderful and I wouldn’t have managed without her.
My husband has been to stay at weekends but he’s not once attempted to have sex with me.
Every time I’ve asked him, he makes excuses about my foot, or worries about getting caught or not being in the mood.

I know it’s difficult with my mother’s bedroom next door but he seems to have changed.
My consultant has said I can now get rid of the crutches.
I’m going home next week and I can’t wait.
How can I make my husband more interested in me sexually?
Have you got any advice about how we can spice things up?

DEIDRE SAYS: I’m glad you’ve made a speedy recovery but perhaps swinging from the chandeliers may be a bit much for you at the moment.
Toning things down and then building them up is the way to go. If you’re up to it, suggest a nice shower together followed by a sensual massage.
