DEAR DEIDRE: MY daughter hasn’t spoken to me since we found out someone she fancied online was an older man posing as a teenage boy.
I’m a single mum of 45 and my daughter is 17.
I was very wary of this guy because she didn’t know him in real life but they talked constantly online.
One day he sent her an unsolicited picture of his penis and she came to me for advice.
I was horrified and could tell from the photo that this was no teenage boy.
I instantly demanded she block him and I reported it to the police, but she hasn’t spoken to me since.
