Girlfriend talks to everybody about our sex life and I don’t like it
DEAR DEIDRE: MY girlfriend wants to talk about our sex life to anyone who will listen but it makes me feel uncomfortable.
I am happy for us to talk between ourselves but she discusses it with our friends and even our families.
We’re both 23 and have been together a year.
She thinks nothing of telling friends what positions I like.
And I nearly spat my lunch out last weekend when she casually told my mum and dad that I’m like the Duracell bunny.
I’ve asked her to be more private but she doesn’t take me seriously.

Why does she want to talk about something so personal?

You need to take time when it’s quiet to let her know you are serious about wanting your sex life kept private.
This comes down to respect. While she is comfortable airing every-thing, she needs to understand your wishes.
