My flashy sister always splashes her cash – it’s so humiliating

DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE had it with my sister’s flash behaviour. Everything I do, she has to do ten times louder, bigger and better.

Growing up, she was always the shy one who avoided parties.

But now she posts about everything in her life and she isn’t afraid of flashing the cash.

I’m 29, she’s 27 and earns three times as much as me.

So while I have to save for everything, she shops without any need to budget.

I recently saved up for a vintage pair of Jimmy Choo shoes and was delighted with them.

But then she had to ruin it by going out and buying two pairs of heels by the same designer.

She gives me her cast-offs regularly because she gets “bored” of them.

I feel it’s all so humiliating.

DEIDRE SAYS: Does it occur to you that your sister may be handing over so many clothes because she wants to treat you and knows you can’t afford luxuries.

Saying she’s bored may simply be a cover because she knows you are sensitive.

Ask yourself if she really is showing off, or are you jealous?

Either way, try not to compare your life with your sister’s and be proud of your achievements.
