My fella and I are 31 and have been together for six months. His ex is 28.

They broke up after four years because of having to be in a long-distance relationship.

She had returned to her native America to take over her family’s business.

They often FaceTime but my boyfriend always says they are just friends.

But can anyone really just be “friends” with their ex?

I find it hard to believe after seeing photos of her.

She’s gorgeous – so much younger and slimmer than me. It has made me feel so insecure.

I bet he fantasises about her when he’s having sex with me.

Part of me wants to tell him to cut her out of his life but it’s still such early days in our relationship.
