DEAR DEIDRE: I HAD a big fallout with my bestie after she drunkenly kissed my husband at our office party.
My friend and I are both 31.

We have been inseparable since university and now work at the same firm.
The last month has been really tough for her.
She found out her love-rat husband has been cheating on her and wants a divorce.
I persuaded her to come to the party earlier this week as I thought it would be good for her to get out.
I remember smiling as she danced with my husband.
And then I watched her kiss him. He pushed her away but I can’t erase the image from my mind.

She apologised but I don’t know if I can forgive her.
I don’t want to throw away our 13-year friendship but can’t help feeling so angry and betrayed – even if she was drunk.
DEIDRE SAYS: Not many people can say they have had a close friendship that has lated 13 years.
Of course, your friend shouldn’t have kissed your husband.
But, as you say, it would be a shame to throw everything away over a drunken mistake.
Understand that along with the alcohol, she was also experiencing lots of emotional pain.
She clearly regrets her actions so why not try to move on together?
