My manager swore at me and now I want to get him fired
DEAR DEIDRE: MY manager called me a lazy b*****d because I didn’t record some information in a client’s notes properly.

My boss visited the location, as he occasionally does, and all was well until he started looking through her notes.
He got angry and swore at me in front of my client. I do make mistakes but only rarely.

DEIDRE SAYS: It’s hard not to take it personally when someone swears at you.
Poor behaviour from your manager is a reflection of him, not of you.
He may have difficulty handling stress appropriately but that doesn’t mean that you are incompetent.
