I adore my boyfriend but his cannabis habit is putting me off
DEAR DEIDRE: MY new boyfriend is perfect – except he smokes cannabis.
I am 18 and he is 21. He is kind and funny and we have loads in common.

But I’ve found out he smokes weed every night, from as early as 5pm.
Drugs are a huge turn-off for me. I’m not sure I can carry on seeing him if he doesn’t stop.

Does this make me a bad person?
DEIDRE SAYS: No. You are free to choose what qualities you want and don’t want in a partner. If you like him enough to ask him to stop, it’s worth a try.
However, if he is smoking weed every day, he has a worrying habit. This could start to really affect his mental and physical health.
