The intimacy has gone from my relationship after just six months

DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN I got together with my girlfriend six months ago, we had sex every day, twice a day.

Now, she lies in bed looking at her phone, then rolls over and goes to sleep.

I’m 28 and she’s 32 and she claimed she has a high sex drive like me. In fact, she complained that her ex-boyfriend didn’t want enough sex.

I’m romantic, always buying her flowers and everything she wants, but more recently when I make a move she rejects me. We haven’t had sex for ten days.

I have needs but don’t want to seem selfish. Does she still fancy me?

DEIDRE SAYS: Please don’t think she doesn’t find you attractive any more. You need to find a moment to talk, but it’s best when you’re not in bed. Say you’re worried and want to get closer to her, like you were at the beginning.

Say you feel you’re both missing out on intimacy. Ask if there is anything bothering her – for example, stress or perhaps she has an issue with an element of your relationship.
