My girlfriend threw me out of the house I bought and moved another guy in
DEAR DEIDRE: MY girlfriend has thrown me out of the house into which I put my life savings – and moved a new guy in.
She and this bloke will enjoy Christmas in luxury while I have nothing.

I work in IT development and earn a high salary.
I was with my girlfriend for eight years and sank all my cash into buying and furnishing a lavish house for us. I am 33 and she is 32.
Because I was abroad a lot, I gave her the money to buy and organise everything.
I trusted her completely, so nothing is in my name.
I returned to the UK at the beginning of this month and she had packed my bags, changed the locks and moved in her new man.
I’m going to have to rebuild my life from scratch.
DEIDRE SAYS: Your girlfriend has behaved shamefully.
Sadly, you were naive to be so trusting.

At least you have your salary – and maybe there is a lesson here.
You have to invest as much emotionally in a relationship as financially.
Long-distance love is always a challenge.
