DEAR DEIDRE

I had the best sex of my life with a neighbour and want more — but I’m married

DEAR DEIDRE: I HAD the best sex of my life with a neighbour and I’m so tempted to go back for more.

I’m married but first saw this guy when he was washing his car in tight shorts.

He had the neatest bum and ripped muscles.

I know a lot of women are supposed to cheat for the emotional connection, but I just thought, “Gimme some of that.”

This was 18 months ago. He was 22 and I was 26.

I am into running while my husband was into beer and pizza — and getting fatter and fatter.

Sex was non-existent, so when I saw this other guy, I didn’t just want him — I needed him.

I started walking my dog past his house when I saw him around.

I tried my hardest to get his attention by dressing in the skimpiest clothes I had. It was summer, at least.

This worked, because he asked to join me for a walk.

It then became a regular thing and we’d walk and talk with lots of flirting.

One day we ended up in some woods.

We found a safe, secluded spot and then had the most amazing sex.

We continued our affair on and off for nine months until lockdown came and I ended it as it was just too risky.

He was lovely about it and didn’t say a thing to anyone.

Also, my marriage benefitted from the time spent together during the first lockdown.

My husband started working out, and our relationship is stronger now.

The sex is pretty good too, but not as wild as with my fit lover.

The problem is he now works at the supermarket where I shop and we’re back flirting.

He’s suggested “hanging out”.

I know what he means and a big part of me wants to take him up on his offer.

I trust him to keep our secret, but another part of me says I should just shop somewhere else.

MY e-leaflet Coronavirus Crisis – Here’s Help signposts the support available when our relationships, families, jobs, friendships and mental health are impacted, as well as our physical health.

DEIDRE SAYS: It is natural to be flattered by this guy’s attention but please don’t go there a second time.

You were lucky not to be discovered first time around, but chances are a second fling will end in disaster.

Someone is bound to find out, your husband will likely never forgive you – and of course you’d be risking passing on Covid.

You may find this younger guy attractive but you are not helpless.

Of course you can resist him.

As you say, it is easy enough to shop elsewhere.

Focus on your marriage.

The second lockdown, tough tiers and Christmas strains have got everyone down.

But count your blessings and put energy into keeping your relationship fresh.
