I rarely get to see my grandparents because of the family feud and it upsets me
DEAR DEIDRE: I ONLY get to see my grandparents at family gatherings such as weddings and special birthdays.
My parents had a family problem and stopped communicating with them when I was only six.

I’m a boy of 17 now and I want to talk to them and get to know them like my cousins do.
They all get birthday and Christmas presents from them, I don’t.
I did say hello to my grandad at a silver wedding barbecue but my parents were not happy and stopped me.
I sometimes wonder what the reason for this family rift is about.
DEIDRE SAYS: It is sad for you that you are being denied contact with your grandparents.
Tell your parents you miss contact with your grandparents and want them to be a part of your life.
I hope they will listen and you help heal your family. Life’s too short for feuds.
