My best friend’s fella kissed me and I feel bad for not telling her
DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN my best friend’s fella kissed me, I pulled away – but I feel guilty for not telling her. Am I a bad friend?
I am 27, as is my friend. Her boyfriend is 29 and lives with her. I was with them the other night when she was tired and went to bed early, while her man and I carried on drinking.

He cuddled me, stroked my hand and then kissed me on the lips. I pulled back and told him to stop. I was drunk so don’t remember it all but he did say he wasn’t happy with her and they were going to break up.
My friend messaged me sounding normal, which surprised me. Clearly they have not broken up. I don’t fancy him and wouldn’t go there in any case but I feel so guilty. If I tell her, it will be his word against mine.
DEIDRE SAYS: You are a good friend, which is more than can be said for this boyfriend. He is the one who tried it on with you, with excuses about them breaking up.
He’s not likely to spill the beans but if you tell her, it might turn out to be a case of her shooting the messenger. Best say nothing unless he tries it on again.
There are clearly cracks in their relationship and she may need you as a supportive friend.
