I’m a guy of 25 and she is 23.
We met through a friend and she moved in with me early in our relationship because of lockdown.
She’s hated not being able to see her parents, who live in Spain. It really affected her, and it turns out she lives with depression.
I had no idea about this when I met her.
She had weeks where she’d sleep all day and be miserable.
She’s better now after seeing her doctor but I fear the next time.
I don’t want to hurt her feelings or have her doing something she might regret but I want to end our relationship.
DDEIDRE SAYS: Depression can be a horrible illness but she could control it with her doctor’s help.
It would be a shame to end your relationship needlessly.
