BUBBLE TROUBLE

My girlfriend has invited another guy to move in and be in her ‘bubble’

DEAR DEIDRE:  MY girlfriend has invited another guy to be in her “bubble”.

We live and work at opposite ends of the country so of course I’m not happy hearing that this colleague is driving with her to her flat after work, sharing a takeaway and wine, playing Xbox and watching films with her.

She says he’s staying in the spare room.

My girlfriend has assured me they are just friends and she has no romantic interest in him.

She says she was lonely living alone. He lives alone too.

I am 36, she is 29 and this guy is 31.

I trust her but feel very uncomfortable about this. Is she in the wrong?

My sex drive is high so I sleep with other men but now my man wants the same

DEIDRE SAYS: Their social bubble might have started innocently but all those cosy evenings together could create a very intimate atmosphere.

Still, your best tactic is not trying to ban your girlfriend’s colleague but to reassess your own relationship priorities.

Where is your relationship going? Is there an end in sight to this very long distance between you?

Your girlfriend may lose heart if there is no realistic promise of togetherness.
