My boyfriend and I have never argued or rowed — is that a problem?
DEAR DEIDRE: MY boyfriend and I have never argued or rowed, even though I’ve been with him a year and a half, but some friends have said that’s a problem.
We got together when we were 18 after we met at college where we were doing a course in IT.
We spend all our spare time together and we get on brilliantly and never fall out.
I thought that showed how strong our connection was but a couple of people have said to me that it’s not a proper relationship until you’ve had a big row and it must mean that we’re not really into each other.
Are they right?
I’m worried now.

DEIDRE SAYS: Every relationship is different and those people who’ve got you worried don’t know what they’re talking about.
As long as you do honestly talk over any differences rather than bottle them up, if you and your boyfriend can get on without having rows then that’s good.
Rejoice!
