I’m totally confused about whether I am straight or gay and don’t know how to decide

DEAR DEIDRE: I AM a 13-year-old boy and completely confused about my sexual identity.

I just cannot tell if I am gay or straight. I feel and look like a boy and I am not romantically attracted to other boys.

It’s just that I think I act like I am gay. I look at quite a bit of porn but that’s always of women, not men.

My parents are really great and I can talk to them about most things, but I don’t really want to bother them with this problem.

I feel stuck at the moment and really don’t know what to describe myself as.

Feeling confused about your sexuality is a normal part of growing up. You don’t have to label yourself.

Your sexuality has nothing to do with whether or not you are in a relationship.
