I CAN'T MOVE ON

My friend sexually assaulted me twice and got away with it

DEAR DEIDRE: A FRIEND twice sexually assaulted me. I want to know why he did it and why he lied in his statement to the police.

I’m a woman of 26 and my friend is 27. I went to the police and he was arrested.

He pleaded not guilty and it seemed that he thought he had done nothing wrong.

He told lie upon lie in his statement.

The case against him was dropped but I’ve since discovered he has assaulted another girl.

I want to move on, but I’m struggling to get close to any man. It’s ruining my life.
