I have a big crush on a girl at school but can’t act on it because of lockdown
DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE had a big crush on a girl for a while.
I’m a boy of 13 and she’s older than me, in the year above at our school.

I’m friends with a guy in her class and I sometimes hung out with that crowd.
I was trying to work up the courage to tell her I like her a lot but then the school closed, the lockdown began and I haven’t seen her for three months.
I think by the time I see her again she’ll have forgotten who I am.
Should I tell her? She’s really hot and I am worried she might be out of my league.
DEIDRE SAYS: Let her be the judge and don’t put yourself down.
Start by being a friend before you go on to declaring your love.
Can you make her laugh?
Do you like the same music and films?
Take it slowly, one step at a time.
She’s only one girl and you have plenty of time to find someone who is right.
