I’ve wasted so much money on dating sites during lockdown & I’m still alone
DEAR DEIDRE: BEING stuck at home, I have splashed out a load of money on dating sites.
I am 26 and have wasted my money when I could have done other stuff for free to fill my time. I actually got paid more this month. But instead of leaving it in my bank account, I spent it all on the sites.

It has been too tempting to keep spending in the hope of meeting someone, when I know in reality it is completely pointless.
I do not see how I will meet anyone.
It seems the only thing I can do is to delete the site so that hopefully the damage is over by the time I get paid again.
DEIDRE SAYS: Do not waste your time beating yourself up over what’s gone. Instead, make plans for how you will better organise your time and spend the next month’s pay packet.
Social life is picking up again but also look for a positive aim – getting fitter, volunteering, learning something new.
If you feel good about yourself you are more likely to attract someone else to feel good about you.
