I fear my family will force me to marry a girl after my fella broke up with me
DEAR DEIDRE: I FEAR my family will force me to marry a girl after my boyfriend broke up with me.
I’m a gay guy of 24 and from a traditional Indian family. My family know I’m gay but won’t acknowledge it.

I met a guy at college two years ago and we clicked. He’s white British and 25. He got fed up with not being able to meet my family.
Last week he ended it and I’m devastated. I tried talking to Mum but she says being gay is “just a phase” and I should stick by our traditions.
She’s already talking to Dad about finding me a girl.
