Correction: IDEMIA
On 27 December 2017 we published an article suggesting that software sold by Sagem Sécurité (now known as IDEMIA) included covert code that may have allowed Russian hackers to steal the fingerprints stored on users' databases. Users of the software included the FBI and other American law enforcement agencies. The Company has provided The Sun with a statement approved by the US Government that confirms that the software is not compromised and there is no suggestion that hackers have stolen finger prints or any other data. We are happy to set the record straight.
