Clarification: Waste tips 84%

In an article 'Waste tips 84%' (24 August) we reported that the amount of household waste rejected for recycling in England rose 84% between 2011 and last year.

We have been asked to clarify that, due to the increase in the amount of recycling collected over that period, it is still the case that 97%.of material collected for recycling is recycled.
