Matt Chapman
This year’s Gold Cup promises to be a cracker, with the extraordinary Presenting Percy up against rising star Clan des Obeaux and defending champion NATIVE RIVER.
I’m a huge Native River fan, and tipped him up in my Sun column over Christmas when he was about at 13-2 chance.
He’s just super tough, talented and stays strong. Richard Johnson, the champion jockey, is made for this animal and I’m sure he’ll run massive for Colin Tizzard.
Native River is a classical example of when the going gets tough, the tough get going, and in this Gold Cup that is what I believe you will need.

Templegate
DERRINROSS is the boss in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle.
He is the epitome of what you need to win this war of a race. He’s got more stamina Pheidippides and has the attitude of a gladiator.
It’s in his favour that he failed to win in three starts last season because that gives him the experience you need for this brutal contest.
Since stepping up the 3m he’s won both his starts and this tougher test is right up his street.
