1. Walk To Freedom - Jessica Harrington/Robbie Power (10-1)

Flew home for second spot in a hot race at Leopardstown in which several of these ran.

Has to shoulder top-weight now but he ought to be in the mix.

2. A Toi Phil - Gordon Elliott/Jack Kennedy (12-1)

Lost his way over fences but shaped with promise on switch back to hurdling.

On a potentially dangerous mark and one for the shortlist.

5. Padleyourowncanoe - Colin Tizzard/Harry Cobden (25-1)

Won decisively at Wincanton in December but ran a shocker last time.

Others are more convincing and he is hard to fancy.

6. First Assignment - Ian Williams/Tom O'Brien (10-1)

Won pulling a cart over C&D in November off 12lb lower.

Solid placed efforts since then and he is one of the leading British contenders.

7. Eminent Poet - Venetia Williams/Charlie Deutsch (40-1)

Loves soft ground and made all for an impressive success at Sandown in December.

Struggled off revised mark since then and a similar story looks likely here.

8. Aaron Lad - Dr Richard Newland/Charlie Hammond (14-1)

Progressing nicely and showed a willing attitude to win a good race here in December.

Up 9lb but on an upward curve and likely to run well.

9. Culture De Sivola - Nick Williams/Lizzie Kelly (33-1)

Won a decent mares race at Kempton over Christmas and not disgraced the last twice.

A strong suspicion the handicapper has her measure now, though.

10. Black Mischief - Harry Fry/Noel Fehily (25-1)

Won nicely at Haydock in November but flopped when last seen.

Yet to race over further than 2m5f and stamina is a big concern.

11. Not Many Left - Jessica Harrington/Mark Walsh (16-1)

Ran out a gutsy winner of a Huntingdon qualifier in first-time cheekpieces.

Good chance of getting involved if the headgear continues to have a positive effect.

12. Coole Cody - Michael Blake/Nick Scholfield (33-1)

Bounced back to form when second in a valuable race at Sandown last month.

Likes to go from the front and will be taken on for the lead here.

13. Theclockisticking - Stuart Edmunds/Ciaran Gethings (20-1)

Run over fences the last twice but reverts to hurdling off a decent mark.

Capable of going well but ideally needs the ground to dry out.

14. Thermistocles - Joseph O'Brien/J J Slevin (16-1)

Easy winner at Clonmel two starts ago and ran a cracker for third last time.

Improving all the time and he looks well-handicapped for his top yard.

15. Flemcara - Emma Lavelle/Aidan Coleman (20-1)

Ready winner of a qualifier at Exeter last time, beating a couple of these.

Stays well and handles soft ground, so he has to enter calculations off 4lb higher.

16. Cuneo - Henry De Bromhead/Rachael Blackmore (16-1)

Ran out a gutsy winner of a big-field event at Leopardstown in December.

Had several of these in behind that day and, for all this is harder, he should be in the mix.

17. Oh Land Abloom - Neil King/Bryony Frost (25-1)

Gained a deserved success after a string of good efforts when winning by a nose at Uttoxeter.

Only up 3lb but needs a massive career best to figure in the finish.

18. Wait For Me - Philip Hobbs/Michael Nolan (33-1)

More encouraging effort when third behind Padleyourowncanoe at Wincanton.

Now having his second run since a wind op, but he has never been the most convincing jumper.

19. Tobefair - Debra Hamer/Tom Bellamy (33-1)

Rattled up a winning sequence a couple of seasons ago but not won since.

Returned to form when second at Chepstow but will find at least a few too good.
