Rashford threw his Old Trafford future into doubt by announcing that he was "ready for a new challenge" in his career.
The 27-year-old, who has scored 138 goals in 426 appearances for the club since making his debut for the club in 2016, made his comments just days after being dropped from the squad for the derby against arch-rivals Manchester City.
It also came amid speculation the club are ready to sell the England international.
Now in an interview with journalist Henry Winter published on X, he said: "For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.
"When I leave it's going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.
"If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. "I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person.
"When I leave, I'll make a statement, and it will be from me."

Manager Ruben Amorim has since said that the club are "better" with Rashford in the squad, but who are favourites if he chooses to leave?
Paris Saint-Germain lead the betting markets at 5/2.
The Ligue 1 champions are reported to have held a long-standing interest in the player, are one of very few clubs who have the resources to match Rashford’s £325,000-a-week wages.
Any Saudi Pro League Club is next at 11/2 and certainly have the financial muscle to secure his signature.
An exciting switch to Spain with Barcelona follows next at 8/1, with Chelsea (12/1), Bayern Munich (14/1) and Atletico Madrid (16/1) completing the market.
Of course, if you think he'll remain at Old Trafford and stay part of Ruben Amorim's revolution, BetMGM are offering odds of 3/1 on that happening.
UK Director at BetMGM, Sam Behar, said: "Judging by Marcus Rashford’s recent comments he feels his time at Manchester United is coming to an end sooner rather than later.
