ACCA Football accumulator tips for this weekend (4/5 May 2024)
MANCHESTER City and Arsenal continue their tussle to win the 2024 Premier League this weekend.
The Gunners get things going at home to Bournemouth in what plenty are predicting could be a potential banana skin for Arteta's team. Man City take on Wolves at the Etihad later in the day.
Liverpool are now well and truly out of the running after only managing a 2-2 draw at West Ham last Sunday. And it’s now a case of Arsenal hoping Manchester City slips up on the title run-in.
Good luck there.
As for the race for fourth place, Spurs look to have blown it after their 2-0 away loss to Chelsea on Thursday.
At the bottom, Sheffield United are gone, and it’s two from three out of Nottingham Forest, Luton Town and Burnley.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s Forest are favourites to beat the drop. But Burnley is the in-form team, statistically.
However, Forest fans might feel they have some momentum after their impressive performance against Man City last Sunday.
This weekend, we’ve picked out a Saturday treble that returns £67.01 from a £10 bet. Add our two Sunday selections, and the five-fold pays £366.04.
The accumulator can be placed with any of our top football sites for Premier League betting.
🥅 Burnley vs Newcastle United: Newcastle to win (19/20)
Burnley have had a real go at staying in the Premier League in recent weeks.
Vincent Kompany’s team are now in with a real chance of claiming 17th place after a run that has seen them lose only once in their last eight.
The match against Newcastle on Saturday could be pivotal for the Clarets.
Newcastle also have plenty to play for. A top-six finish could offer a route into Europe for Eddie Howe’s team next season. So a win is vital for the Toon Army.
Despite all the doom and gloom, Newcastle will travel to Turf Moor in good form, having won three of their last four. Their form isn’t as bad as you would be led to believe.
We believe they will put a serious dent in Burnley’s survival chances by leaving the northwest with all three points.

🥅 Sheffield Utd vs Nottingham Forest: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals (10/11)
The inevitable happened last weekend, and relegation was confirmed for Sheffield United after another woeful performance. This time away at Newcastle, where they lost 5-1.
United have scored in seven of their last eight games. They have also conceded in all eight.
Nottingham Forest managed 14 attempts on goal against Man City last Sunday. City only managed eleven.
The Reds may well be stronger at home. But this is a must-win match against hapless opposition.
We feel that with relegation now confirmed for the Blades, they may play with a bit more freedom. Which probably means more goals at both ends of the pitch.
⚽ Back both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at 10/11 with bet365 ⚽
🥅 Man City vs Wolves: Man City -2 to win on the handicap (4/5)
Man City will likely have Phil Foden and Erling Haaland available to start this weekend.
Foden missed last Sunday’s 2-0 win over Forest, and Haaland made a goal-scoring appearance from the bench.
As for Wolves, their 2-1 win over Luton ended a run of six Premier League games without a win.
It looks set to be a short respite for Gary O’Neil’s team.
Manchester City looks in the mood, and with 19 goals in their last five Premier League matches, we expect Pep’s team to make light work of the Midlands club.
⚽ Back City (-2) to win on the handicap at 4/5 with bet365 ⚽
Add the following two bets from Sunday’s fixtures to make it a five-fold acca.
🥅 Brighton vs Aston Villa: Ollie Watkins to score (13/10)
Villa suffered a dismal result against Olympiacos at Villa Park on Thursday night.
They can’t dwell on that. They now know that only a top-four finish will bring Champions League football next season, and with a match against Liverpool to follow, Unai Emery will be targeting three points on the south coast.
We were tempted to go with Villa to win at odds of 29/20.
But the Villans have conceded too many of late. So instead, we are going for the in-form Ollie Watkins to score at 13/10.
Watkins was on the scoresheet against the Greeks on Thursday, and in the reverse fixture this season, the former Brentford striker scored a hat-trick.
⚽ Back Ollie Watkins to score anytime against Brighton at 13/10 with bet365 ⚽
🥅 Liverpool vs Spurs: Liverpool to win and over 3.5 goals (11/8)
Jurgen Klopp’s last season at the club is slowly fizzling out into a disappointing one.
His team now sits five points behind leaders Arsenal and four behind Man City, with the Blues having a game in hand.
In their last five in the Premier League, Liverpool have only won once. This run has killed off their title chances.
Spurs are also out of form. They have only won one in five and are on a losing skid of three. Champions League football looks gone.
Neither side looks to have much to play for now.
Maybe Spurs might have one eye on the teams behind them. But their six-point gap should be big enough to confirm fifth place.
We expect to see both teams go for it on Sunday, and there could be plenty of goals on show. We’re backing Liverpool to win and over 3.5 goals.
⚽ Back Liverpool to win and over 3.5 goals at 11/8 with bet365 ⚽
