Everton vs Liverpool betting preview
After a horrendous run of 13 Premier League matches without a win, Everton finally got three points in their recent 1-0 victory over Burnley on April 6th.
In good old fashioned typical Everton style, Sean Dyche’s men followed that up with a 6-0 loss at Chelsea on April 15th.
They have since won their second match in 16 with Sunday’s controversial 2-0 win over fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park.
So, with two wins in their last two home matches, could there be a better time for Everton to host their local rivals from across Stanley Park?
The Reds have had a sticky patch of their own in recent weeks. The rot seemed to start with the 4-3 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup 5th Round.
Jurgen Klopp’s team let the Red Devils off the hook a second time when they could only manage a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford in the Premier League on April 7th.
What followed for Liverpool was even worse, with the Reds losing 3-0 at home to Atalanta in the Europa League and 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The two Premier League games without a win handed the advantage in the title race back to Manchester City. As a result, every match is now a must-win cup final for Liverpool, and dropping points is just out of the question.
Man City may have a slip in them. And Liverpool can add to the pressure on the blues by claiming another three points ahead of City’s return to Premier League action against Brighton on Thursday.
We can only see Liverpool claiming all three points.

Both teams to score and Liverpool to win
Liverpool failed to keep a clean sheet yet again when they faced Fulham in the Premier League last Sunday.
Since their 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the beginning of March, the Reds have only managed one clean sheet, and that was in last Thursday’s 1-0 win away at Atalanta.
Everton aren’t exactly what we would call prolific in front of goal. But they create chances and have scored in their last five Premier League matches at Goodison.
⚽ Back both teams to score and Liverpool to win at 17/10 with Spreadex ⚽
Diogo Jota to score or assist
Diogo Jota has been playing himself back into form and fitness following his most recent injury layoff.
On Sunday, the former Wolves striker got his comeback goal in the Reds’ 3-1 win over Fulham.
Jota was instrumental in Liverpool’s win, registering three shots, two of which were on target. We expect him to make an impact against the Toffees.
⚽ Back Diogo Jota to score or assist at 8/11 with bet365 ⚽
Both teams to get 30+ bookings points
This match is a Merseyside Derby. They are notorious for being high-octane occasions with plenty of boots flying and cards brandished.
And with so much on the line for both teams, expect this match to be as fiercely contested as ever.
Both sides to pick up 30 or more booking points is 15/8. That means a minimum of three yellow cards each. And with a red card always a good possibility, a bet on plenty of cards looks like a sensible option.
⚽ Back over 30+ bookings points each at 15/8 with bet365 ⚽
