I have tested Oscars betting sites extensively. Using my expert knowledge and experience, I have delivered reviews of the top bookmakers below. My reviews will cover available markets, bonuses, mobile access and more.
1. bet365
At bet365, I was able to bet on every major award from the Oscars. The list includes everything from Best Picture and Best Actress to Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song. I found the odds at bet365 to be better than many other bookies too.
During testing, we could also request additional bets surrounding the Academy Awards. I enjoyed browsing markets on the bet365 app, which was easy for me to use on iOS and Android devices. I believe the bet365 welcome offer makes signing up more appealing.

However, the BetUK welcome offer, worth £30 in free bets, did appeal to me. I recommend downloading the BetUK app. This mobile platform made browsing Oscars markets and placing bets simple in my experience.

I also found useful information about the Academy Awards. This includes which directors have won in the past and whether a comedy film has ever won Best Picture. The BetVictor welcome offer includes free bets and spins.

⭐ My Pick for the Best Oscars Betting Site
I ranked bet365 as the No. 1 Oscars betting site. Here, you can bet on all awards that will be handed out during the live ceremony. We found it easy to request additional bets too. There is much more than just the Best Actor/Actress awards. The odds are competitive too. We found value in some of the less high-profile awards.
📋 How I choose Oscars betting odds and platforms
When choosing between Oscars betting sites, I consider several things. The following are the factors that help me to separate good platforms from bad ones.
Coverage of Oscars events
I always start by looking at which markets are available. With the Oscars, I expect all of the main categories to be covered. Some betting sites will only feature that top five or six awards, such as Best Actor/Actress and Best Director. I can tell almost immediately which bookies cover entertainment events the best.
Best Oscars betting odds
Betting on the Oscars is fun. However, I place bets in the hope of winning. I have compared odds from leading bookies. There are some heavy favourites for the Oscars 2024. I was still able to find attractive prices in many categories though.
Oscar bonuses and promotions
In my experience, promotions specific to the Oscars are hard to come by. There are deals that you can trigger when betting on the event. Free bets, price boosts and welcome offers are among the most common. I suggest that you read the bonus terms and conditions before signing up.
Variety of payment methods
I find that many of the top online bookies accept a host of payment methods. Debit cards, e-wallets and prepaid cards are among the most popular. When choosing between sites, I look at the speed, security and speed of payments. I tend to avoid recommending sites where withdrawal fees are incurred.
Mobile compatibility
My decision is also impacted by how easy it is to place bets on mobile devices. On smartphones and tablets, Oscars betting sites should be fully functional. Many of our recommended bookies also offer a downloadable app.
Reputation and trustworthiness
How reliable is the bookie? When entering a betting site, I look at who it is licensed by, which security tools are in place and how usable it is. Such factors will help me to determine whether the bookie is trustworthy.
Customer support
I always find it reassuring to know that help is on hand. The best bookies have members of staff available day and night. I prefer to communicate via live chat. Email and telephone support are also common.
📝 How to place a bet on the Oscars
I will now outline exactly how to place a bet on the Oscars. The process is slightly different between bookies. However, the step-by-step guide below explains the basic principles:
- Enter a betting site or betting app.
- Login to your existing account or create an account.
- Visit the cashier page and deposit funds into your account.
- Select “TV & Specials” or “Entertainment”.
- Choose Oscars 2024 and browse markets.
- Add selections to your bet slip.
- View potential returns and bet types.
- Enter your stake and select “Place Bets”.
Types of Oscars bets by category
Most of my recommended betting sites cover all 24 Oscars award categories. However, some will attract more attention than others. I have outlined the top five categories below.
🎞️ Best Picture
This is the final award of the night and is considered the most prestigious. It is the only award where each member of the Academy can submit a nomination and vote. Oppenheimer is one of the nominations this year. Nomadland, CODA and Everything Everywhere All at Once have won Best Picture over recent years.
📣 Best Director
This award is given to an individual who has shown outstanding directing in the film industry. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert were duel winners in 2022. Martin Scorsese and Clint Eastwood are among the previous winners.
🕺 Best Actor
Best Actor is an award handed to the actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role. Daniel Day-Lewis has won the award a record x3. Anthony Hopkins, Will Smith and Brendan Fraser have been named Best Actor in recent years. Cillian Murphy is the favourite to win this year thanks to his performance in Oppenheimer.
💃 Best Actress
This has been awarded since the first-ever Academy Awards. It is given to the actress who delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role in a film. Olivia Coleman, Kate Winslet and Meryl Streep have all won the Best Actress award in the past. Emma Stone is among the nominees this year.
📑 Best Screenplay
Created in 1940, this award is given to the best screenplay that is not based on previously published material. Everything Everywhere All at Once came out on top last time out.
🏆 Betting odds for The Oscars 2024
In my experience, bookies introduce Oscars betting odds months in advance of the ceremony. You will find prices even before nominations have been confirmed.
Cillian Murphy for Best Actor
Ireland’s Cillian Murphy is the overwhelming favourite to pick up the Best Actor award. I found the best odds of 2/5 for the Oppenheimer star to win his first Oscar at LiveScore Bet.
Emma Stone for Best Actress
Things are slightly more competitive in the Best Actress category. I found odds of 4/6 with 10bet for Emma Stone to win for her role in Poor Things.
Christopher Nolan for Best Director
I believe it is almost certain that Christopher Nolan will win Best Director. Nolan has never won an Oscar for directing. Odds of 1/16 at William Hill suggest this could be his year.
