Glorious Goodwood Preview

It's one of the pinnacle events on the racing calendar and now Glorious Goodwood is here.

There's three Group 1 contests across the week - inside the opening three days - with some big names and huge prize money up for grabs.

The Goodwood Cup is the big race on day one with Courage Mon Ami for Frankie and the Gosden's taking on the might of Coltrane over the two miles.

Wednesday sees the return of Irish 2000 Guineas and Coral-Eclipse superstar Paddington as the odds-on favourite in the Qatar Sussex Stakes.

Aidan O'Brien's charge was tough out in front to see off the efforts of Eily Upjohn in the Eclipse last time out to make it five from five in 2023 and six wins on the bounce.

While super-talented French raider Blue Rose Cen is the current favourite for the Qatar Nassau Stakes on Thursday.

She won the French 1000 Guineas with an exceptional turn of foot late on to take her record to seven wins from nine starts, before winning over this distance last time out in the Prix de Diane.

There's then the King George Qatar Stakes as Friday's feature race with the Coral Stewards’ Cup on Saturday, amongst all the other great action.

How to sign up to a horse racing betting site

Signing up to a horse racing betting site is a straightforward process once you know who you would like to bet with. Make sure you have a good shop around and look at things like sign up offers for new members and what the bookmaker offers and whether it suits what kind of experience you are looking for – this guide should hopefully offer you some good advice.

  • Once you have made your decision and picked a sign up offer, you need to head to the sign up page of that bookmaker. Some sign up offers will come with links that you can click – like above – that remove the need to go looking for the sign up page, while some other sign up offers will come with offer codes that you will need to remember and input when asked.
  • When you reach the sign up page, you will be required to input your details and confirm that you are 18 or over through age verification – some bookmakers may also require you to send things like identification documents and utility bills depending on their process.
  • Once you have put in your details, you will need to agree to the terms and conditions of the site and click ‘sign up’. You may be sent an email confirmation with a link to click – but otherwise you should be ready to place some bets on the horse racing!
