kwiff review: Sign up offer and sports promotions in 2024
HAVE you been Kwiffed?
I must admit I was skeptical when joining kwiff, the bookmaker who aimed to revolutionising sports betting by randomly supercharging your betting odds.
Find The Sun's betting publishing principles here
I initially felt it would be a gimmick and would lose interest shortly thereafter, but I have found myself returning often for the chance to see my odds skyrocket!
The platform is on par with the more established and traditional bookmakers offering a sleek layout, good functionality and a variety of bonuses on both the website and app.
But the main event is undoubtedly being 'kwiffed' and seeing my odds jump from 11/1 to a colossal 24/1 when placing a fairly standard three-fold football bet. It's certainly a buzz, and I've not seen anything like it from other bookies.
Here’s everything I think you should know about kwiff.
What I love about kwiff
- The ‘supercharged’ odds
- Plenty of promotions and bonuses
- The app is particularly good for live betting
Where kwiff falls flat
- Only a small number of payment methods are accepted
- The site design is not as intuitive or responsive as some rival betting sites.
Latest kwiff offers and bonuses for sports
One of the main perks that struck me about kwiff is the sheer number of bonuses and promotions it offers to both new and existing customers.
There’s a fairly standard – but generous enough – welcome bonus, loyalty and refer-a-friend schemes, and promotions that include Acca Shield and Supercharged Weekend. I'll explain those later.
Terms and conditions apply for all kwiff’s offers, and the instructions for claiming each can be found on its ‘Promotions’ page.
And, as I've mentioned, there's also the possibility that your odds on any bet will be ‘supercharged’. kwiff’s algorithm will decide at random which bets to boost, so any wager you place could be enhanced.
kwiff welcome bonus
The kwiff Welcome Bonus hands new customers a £30 ‘surprise bet’ when you wager £10 on any market at odds of ½ or longer.*
What is a surprise bet I hear you ask? Rather than handing customers free bets, kwiff instead uses its own in-house algorithm to place bets on your behalf. I'm still not convinced if this is good thing or not, or whether a traditional free bet is preferable. But I did get a buzz when checking the 'My Bets' section and seeing a free bet placed on my behalf.
To claim the kwiff Welcome Bonus, click the ‘Join’ button and register your new customer account.
Accumulator bonuses at kwiff
Kwiff doesn’t offer a bonus profit on your accumulators, but I can forgive that given the occasional supercharging of my accas. It felt like a reasonable substitute. Kwiff do, however, offer an Acca Shield promotion covering many of the leading sporting events.
Place a £5+ accumulator with at least four selections (and minimum combined odds of 4/1), and if one of those picks loses, you will be handed a surprise bet for the same amount, up to a maximum of £20.*
Offers by sport at kwiff
Another good promotion offered by kwiff is the 2nd Place Refund, which covers a number of UK and Irish horse racing meetings.
Bet £1 or more on any qualifying race, and if your pick finishes second to the SP favourite, your stake will be refunded as a surprise bet.
Fight fans can also benefit from kwiff’s One Punch Knockout promo. Place an acca of four selections or more on any MMA card with all picks at minimum odds of 1/2. If one of your selections loses, your stake will be refunded up to a maximum of £25 as a surprise bet.
The ‘Supercharge Your Weekend’ promotion is applied to different sporting events on an ongoing basis. At the time of writing, this promo was linked to cricket’s ‘top batsman’ market. Place a £10+ bet on any player in a qualifying game, and if they top score, then your bet wins and you’re rewarded with 50 slot free spins.
Ongoing promotions and bonuses are an important factor for me when choosing a bookmaker, and kwiff delivers on that with their Sport Club scheme. It could see you earn cash and surprise bets when you wager a certain amount per week on accumulators. Bet £50 or more on three-leg accas in the week up to Saturday and you’ll get £5 cash; £100+ in bets lands £5 cash and £5 in surprise bets; and weekly wagers of £250 or more earn £10 cash and £10 in surprise bets.*
How to sign up at kwiff – step by step
Unlike their promotions and innovative offers, the process to register an account with kwiff is straightforward and only took me a couple of minutes.
To sign up for a kwiff account on your PC or laptop, click the orange ‘Join’ button on the homepage. You’ll be asked to fill in a form that includes details such as your email address, date of birth, postal address, and so on.
Choose your username and email, and then click to confirm your account. Once live, make your first deposit of £10 or more and you will be able to place your first bet with kwiff.
You can opt to download the kwiff app to your Apple and Android smartphone or tablet. Head to the App Store or Google Play Store and then search for kwiff. Tap the install button, and within a few moments, you will be able to find the app on your home screen.
How to place a bet at kwiff
Once you’re logged into your account on the desktop site, you will see the range of in-play sports that are live across the top of the page, and a simple menu on the left that separates sports, casino and ‘My Bets’.
I found that kwiff's homepage generally focuses on live betting and upcoming events, so you will have to scroll down to the bottom of the sports page to find a list of games and tournaments that are taking place in the near future.
To place a bet, simply click on the odds next to the selection you wish to make. These will be added to your betslip, so you can add your stake and then tap ‘Place Bet’.
To place an accumulator with kwiff, just add three or more selections to your betslip. The odds will then be multiplied together and displayed on screen. As I mentioned earlier, all of these regular functions work exactly like you would expect from a UK bookmaker.
How to get the most out of live streaming with kwiff
I didn't find kwiff's live streaming services to be particularly extensive, but they do offer some UK horse racing meetings on its website and betting app.
For any race that has a stream, you will see the ‘Watch Race’ button pop up once the action is moved to the in-play betting feed.
You can bet on the race, perhaps using kwiff’s Second Place Refund promo if you are taking on the favourite, and easily stream the action in real time.
How to claim your kwiff bonus
To get started with kwiff and claim your welcome bonus, follow the steps below:
- Click the ‘Join’ button on the kwiff homepage
- Fill in the registration form on screen
- Enter a live kwiff promo code if prompted
- Complete your registration
Once your account is set up, you can make your first deposit (£10 or more to qualify for the sign-up bonus), and then wager £10 on your first bet at odds of 1/2 or longer. You’ll then receive £30 in surprise bets in the next few days.*
kwiff payment methods
At the time of writing, kwiff accepts the following payment methods for deposits and withdrawals. It's not hugely extensive, but I use PayPal for the majority of my betting and have never had an issue.
- Debit Card
- Paypal
- Ecopayz
- Instant Bank Transfers via True Layer
- AstroPay
kwiff withdrawal options
To withdraw your winnings from your kwiff account, head to the banking section of the website/app and select ‘Withdrawal’.
You’ll see the accepted payment methods listed there. At the time of writing, these were Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and ecoPayz. Select your preferred option, decide your withdrawal amount, and then complete the instructions on screen.
kwiff minimum deposit
With any of the payment methods listed above, the minimum deposit you can make is £10.
How to use cash out feature
For bets that qualify, you may be offered a cash-out value once the event is underway. If you have placed an accumulator, you may be offered a cash-out value if one or more of your selections has won earlier.
You will find full details of your open bets and their current cash-out sum under the ‘My Bets’ tab. If you want to lock in a profit or cut your losses, just click on the cash-out button to close your bet early.
Your cash-out value may be ‘supercharged’ once you have closed your bet (but certainly not every time!). This could increase your odds, and therefore your payout, if kwiff does decide to supercharge your odds.
How can I win free bets?
kwiff has replaced the free bets that many bookmakers offer with its own ‘surprise bets’ concept. As I've mentioned, I'm not totally sold on the idea.
Instead of being handed free bet credits to use as you want, kwiff will place bets on your behalf that have been selected by its own in-house algorithm. If these win, you will be paid out as normal (minus the surprise bet stake).
There are plenty of ways to claim surprise bets at kwiff, including claiming the Welcome Bonus or opting for the kwiff Sport Club on a weekly basis.
