Veronica Lorraine

Gardening Editor and Associate Head of Features

Gardening Editor Veronica Lorraine has been a journalist at The Sun for eighteen years. But she has always been hugely passionate about the pure joy that gardening can bring. So she went back to study horticulture - spending one day a week for almost eighteen months at Capel Manor College in Regents Park, to pass her RHS Horticultural Diploma Level 2. Since then she's set up a successful Gardening business as a side hustle, and divides her time between Association Head of Features, Gardening Editor and Books Editor. From a six-month stint volunteering in the historic gardens of the National Trust’s Ham House, to a part time job with London-based garden design and maintenance company Sprout Up, and regular maintenance friends and neighbour's outdoor spaces, she's happily immersed herself in the horticultural world. As a mum to a eight  and 11 year old, she knows its vital to educate the future generations of the joys of growing outdoors. And like everyone else, how to garden on a budget is hugely important. Every Saturday in her Sun Gardening Column, she'll be bringing you exciting advice, top money saving tips and competitions, answering all your questions and introducing you to amazing new ways of glowing up your garden spaces
